I'm in agreement with Littler on this. There are far too many has-beens mouthing off on podcasts, saying dumb stuff for attention. Littler is still eligible for the World Youth Championship and so can attend if he wishes to. Gian Van Veen is an experienced professional too, and Cornwall didn't have anything to say about him taking part.23-10-2025 10:58

Barry Hearn has changed his tune since December last year https://dartsnews.com/pdc/barry-hearn-rules-out-saudi-arabian-world-darts-championship-for-the-time-being-i-asked-them-a-simple-question-can-we-have-alcohol-and-they-said-no Amazing what the prospect of a sack full of cash can do to a man.05-10-2025 16:22

Spot on. Darts is living in a Littler-inspired bubble at the moment, and it will eventually burst. The PDC now has an important decision to make regarding the rankings. If they remain money-based, it will be seen as proof that the governing body only cares about a small group of elite players at the top and does not want them to be disturbed. There needs to be a return to a points system.18-09-2025 11:18

The statement from Hearn that "People will be able to watch what they want to watch, the sports they want to watch, when they want to watch it and for a price they can afford" is bizarre. Sport only works when it is shown live - very few people pull a 'Likely Lads' and try to avoid a result so they can watch highlights later. And if darts disappears off free to air ITV, it certainly won't go to the BBC, who couldn't afford it, even if they were interested. So, that leaves Channel 4 or maybe Channel 5. More likely the ITV package will go to someone like Netflix and the rest stay with Sky. There won't actually be any free to air darts at all.06-05-2025 13:57

The PDC need to decide if they are serious about the sport or if they just want to hold big fancy dress parties where no one actually cares about the darts. If a venue persistently can't control its crowds, the Premier League should go elsewhere the following year.20-02-2025 11:32
