The PDC governs a global sport not a British one. Both Finland and Holland support trans-inclusivity making the World Championship qualification of Noa-Lynn over Kirsi Viinikainen moot. If it becomes impossible to run the Women's Series in its current form here, it could always be moved entirely to the EU as if the PDC wanted to follow the path of other UK sports it would have already done so.21-10-2025 11:47

Inviting the last 8 of majors to the World Series events would mix it up and with local qualifying tournaments could turn both the Series and Finals into ranking events. This year you could have had: Bahrain and Dutch (Worlds): Littler, MVG, Dobey, Bunting, Rydz, Price, Aspinall, Wright Nordic (Masters): Humphries, Clayton, Noppert, Van den Bergh, Heta, Littler, Aspinall, Bunting US and Poland (UK Open): Littler, Wade, Clayton, Rock, van Veen, Humphries, Michael Smith, Aspinall Aus and NZ (Matchplay): Littler, Wade, Clayton, Rock, Gilding, Price, van Veen, Bunting Surely that's better than the same 8 players and invited subs doing effective exhibitions half the year?23-08-2025 01:22

There are two players Michael Smith can leapfrog with a semi-final today: as well as Ryan Joyce, he could equal RVB and with the £5k would qualify on the count back rule of money earned in the last four Pro Tour tournaments. Either Ryan or Raymond would have to lose in the first round for a semi to be enough. O'Connor must win today to have a chance, and everyone in-between requires at least a finalist's cheque and some help from above.09-07-2025 12:00

This setup gives a free ride to guys at the bottom end of the ProTour qualification, where you get first round European Tour entry and Players Championship seeding. I reckon that if you beat every host nation qualifier and half the rest you could enter every major except the Grand Slam and earn £100k without ever beating a top-32 player.05-06-2025 13:39

Beau also skipped Players Championships 7 & 8 next week, and PC 3 & 4 four weeks ago. If she next chooses to miss the Women's Series and PC 13 & 14 in mid-April then we can make a fair guess as to her reason.13-03-2025 22:40

Because I'm sure the PDC wants unsolicited format changes: Top 16 of ProTour OoM get a bye to the second round. All unqualified main Top 16 players are seeded from 17 down and play Friday evening. The rest of the first round is an open draw. Six European amateurs as before, lots more spaces in the Tour Card qualifier to complete the 48. All the top 16, proper benefit to the top ProTourers, greater chance for the new pros to qualify.04-02-2025 17:42

Newly relegated Tour Card holders made up 26/256 of the Q School Final Stage field: 10.16%. They won 3/29 of the Tour Cards on offer: 10.34%. This suggest that the 'worst of the best' are of a similar standard to the 'best of the rest' which is notable but surely unsurprising.13-01-2025 13:57
